There are only some minor revisions to engine specifics on the 4 stroke SMR range to compliment the changes implemented in 2013, these changes included con-rods, pistons, timing and fuelling tailored to each specific model. On the 250fi model there is a new piston and cylinder head design and likewise the 450cc engine variant recieves similar attention to the control of the combustion process, with modification again to the piston, cylinder head and fuel and ignition control via the ECU / Efi system. The new clutch basket with a friction reduction coating and fibre plates remain. There are also some modifications to exhaust systems as well as a new suspension option and a fresh new look featuring new decals and seat cover.
TM Racing ‘Factory’ rear shock absorber, Marzocchi 45mm forks, billet machined aluminium hubs laced to anodised Excel rims, anodised triple clamps with oversize taper handlebar, oversize rear disc with SM 320mm floating front disc with oversize radial pump and caliper, HGS exhaust system, EU compliant to road use laws.
Engine, single cylinder water cooled 4 stroke, double overhead camshafts driving a ‘bucket’ type valve operating system, dry sump with double rotor oil pump for recovery and distribution, forged piston, electric starter with conventional kick.
